There’s really only one word to describe the Samsonite Fortis Pro 2.0 Large Spinner: spacious. We were easily able to fit enough clothing for a two-week trip with room to spare, and we didn’t even have to unzip its expandable sides for those extra 1.5 inches of packing space. The suitcase has a clamshell opening, with one side featuring a zippered compartment with two smaller zippered pockets on top of it. The real star of the show, however, is the removable, accordion-style packing cube closet system that can be compressed when not in use to save space. Interior compression straps help further compress the closet system and any additional clothes.

The removable closet features two hooks at the top that can be used to hang it when you reach your destination. It features plenty of slots and mesh and zippered pockets to store all your essentials, from underwear and socks to shirts and pants. There’s also a snap-on hamper at the bottom for dirty clothes or wet bathing suits that can be removed and sealed via a drawstring closure when full. «It’s a valuable add-on with the suitcase and makes it easier to stay organized during your trip,» said T+L senior editor Jasmine Grant.

As for the suitcase itself, it’s a bit heavy at 13.2 pounds, so you’d have to pack strategically to make sure it doesn’t exceed airline weight restrictions. All zippers run smoothly and the handle, which has three height settings, features a plush two-inch thick cushioning at its base that provided next-level comfort when we pushed and pulled the suitcase. Our main gripe is that the luggage is quite wide and we found that it can be difficult to maneuver effectively, especially when fully packed. So we wouldn’t recommend packing this if you’re going on a trip where you might need to walk for a while to reach your accommodation. We think it’s best suited for long, leisurely trips away.
